Professional Hair System Installation: From Consultation to Aftercare
A practical, non-medical salon workflow for consultation, measuring, fitting, styling, aftercare and client photo consent for men's hair systems.

A professional hair-system service is more than attaching hair. Clear consultation, correct sizing, careful handling, realistic styling and written aftercare help customers understand what they are purchasing and what maintenance may involve.
## Before the fitting: consultation
Discuss the desired coverage, hairstyle, colour, lifestyle, comfort preferences and how often the client is willing to return for maintenance. Explain what the product is and is not designed to do. Photograph the current scalp and hair only with explicit consent and define whether those images are strictly private, used for service records or permitted for advertising.
## Measurement and product inspection
Review the chosen product code, hair fibre, colour, base structure and size against the client record. Check the underside for damage before installation. A unit designed to be cut to size should only be trimmed under the product's specifications and by trained staff. Confirm compatibility of tape or bonding product with the base and any individual sensitivities.
## Fitting and final styling
Agree on hairline placement and blending goals before bonding. Follow the attachment manufacturer's instructions and avoid unnecessary tension on natural hair or the hairpiece. Check fit and comfort during installation. Trim and style gradually, checking the look under natural and indoor lighting. A realistic result depends on density, colour matching and haircut—not one product claim.
## Handover and care
Provide instructions on cleaning frequency, products to avoid, combing technique, activities after attachment, scheduling maintenance and whom to contact if irritation or lifting occurs. Avoid promising a fixed lifespan; it depends on the product, use and care. Give customers the exact product identifier and recorded service date.
## Before / during / after photos
A three-stage photographic sequence can explain the process. Use the same camera angle and comparable lighting; do not alter a customer's face or hairline to exaggerate the result. If AI imagery is used, label it “AI illustration—no actual customer result.” Do not describe an AI sequence as a treatment outcome.
